FAQ's
1. Q: How much power does it draw?
A: On start up the ELITE will draw approx 8-15amps for the first few minutes, after that the it will draw around 3 amp per hour as all it needs power for is to run the fan and send a pulse to your fuel pump.
Q: Can i use a power bank?
A: Yes you can use a power bank, as long as it can produce the required Amperage for start up. You will need a cigarette plug wiring adapter.
Q: How long does a fuel tank last?
A: Depends on the heat setting you are using, there are 10 different heat settings. On a low setting expect the 5L fuel tank to last over 24 hours. On the highest heat setting expect the fuel tank last just over 10 hours.
Q: How long before i need to charge my battery?
A: While different for each battery, a standard car battery will last up to 72 hours of use.
Q: Does the manual have trouble shooting instructions?
A: Yes the manual has trouble shooting instructions.
Q: Does the Polar Pal ELITE come with bluetooth?
A: The ELITE comes with bluetooth connectivity. Simply follow the instructions provided in the manual to download the app. Adjust your heat setting and power your heater on or off using the bluetooth app.
Heater works great, I’ll be using it for moose hunting this October, I have tested it in my driveway and it ran for hours without a issue, I had to buy a power cord off amazon to connect it to my eco flow battery bank though, would be nice for more power cable options at check out, this heater will use about 150 watts starting for 3 minutes then about 30 on max heat and 10- 11 on low or medium
It's good I like but one thing I noticed the screen for power it's hard to see if on or off
After like 5 uses, it seems great. It's the first diesel heater I've ever used, but it seems really quiet. It puts out good, steady heat at a decent rate. Simple to set up and customer service has answered all my questions!
The heater itself is awesome I use it to heat under a 14ft x 40ft cabin that has approximately 2ft clearance under it I have enclosed the outside with 2x12s and all the plumbing is enclosed in a small room with 2in foam I simply set it outside the cabin on a few cinder blocks in the open with the wind/elements blowing on it with a small top to keep the rain/snow off on a full tank I can go 13 hours (I just fill it I don’t wanna run out) and it’s been in the low 20s in day time and the teens at night with 10-25mph wind blowing at the same side as the plumbing haven’t been froze up at all and it’s been run all the way on low it’s best to turn it to high every few days to burn the system out for 30min I’ve tried electric heaters under there this is by far the best thing I’ve ever bought the only bad thing is the ac to dc power supply is not waterproof but easily fixed if you put it in a sealed Rubbermaid container I learned that the hard way you can also run it with a marine deep cycle battery with a 5amp smart charger and have no problem on low one thing I will say is if your going to buy one pop the lcd display out and put a ziploc bag on it and cover the top of it I would buy another one and I’ve recommended it to all my friends I would give it 5 stars but the power supply you need to keep it dry somewhat dry, (mainly for permenant set ups) and the display and you will never have a problem
Been using this heater as a garage heater and out camping and so far it's worked flawlessly. One tank of diesel will last at least 10 hours on full power, maybe 12 hours. Camping, I ran it on the low setting, which is all I needed to heat a roof top tent and one tank lasted 19 hours straight and still has diesel left in it the tank when I turned it off. Best part of all, is simple set up and use. I set the unit on a little metal stool I have, attach the exhaust (I don't even bother with a clamp) plug in the cig lighter to my Jackery, push one single button on the key fob and after a few minutes of starting up it's working. Then route the ducting and it's all done. So easy.
